Rachel Cagliani

VP of Student Affairs

Dr. Rachel Cagliani is an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Special Education at the University of Georgia in the Mary Frances Early College of Education. Prior to pursuing her Ph.D., she worked as a classroom teacher in Georgia public schools across multiple service settings, experiences that continue to inform her research and teaching. Her scholarship focuses on improving outcomes for children with autism and other developmental disabilities, with particular emphasis on intensive toilet training and communication instruction. Dr. Cagliani’s work often examines family-centered and classroom-based intervention models that expand access to evidence-based practices. In addition to her research, she teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses in special education and applied behavior analysis and mentors students preparing to work with individuals with disabilities and their families.
