Finding a Behavior Analyst

As you can see in the Education area of this website, there are many training programs in Georgia that teach students about the science of behavior analysis and how it can be applied to support behavior change. However, attending a university training program is not sufficient for someone to be qualified to deliver behavior analytic services. In Georgia, behavior analysts must be licensed to practice , which ensures they have met specific training requirements and continue to develop their education. Georgia Licensed Behavior Analyst usually are also Board Certified Behavior Analysts® (BCBAs), meaning that they have undergone rigorous training at an accredited university program, have completed a minimum of 1000 hours of supervised practice, and have passed a national certification exam. When looking for a behavior analyst, we encourage consumers to check both the Georgia Licensing Board directory and the Behavior Analyst Certification Board® (BACB) directory:
