Behavior Analyst Ethics

Georgia Licensed Behavior Analyst are bound by the ethics code of the organization which provided their qualification. Licensees who are Board Certified Behavior Analysts® (BCBAs) are bound by the BACB Ethics Code for Behavior Analysts. This code is intended to protect the consumers of ABA services and facilitate the delivery of high quality, ethical services.

Like any profession, some individuals may knowingly or unknowingly engage in unethical or unprofessional behavior that may warrant action on the part of a certification or licensing board. If you feel you have grounds to report the behavior of a Georgia Licensed Behavior Analyst, you can file a complaint with the Georgia Behavior Analyst Licensing Board. If the person is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst®, you can also report them to the BACB Ethics Department.

If you need help with an ethical issue, you can submit a question to the Ethics Hotline, which is sponsored by the Florida Association for Behavior Analysis.
