Alexis Pavlov, PhD, BCBA-D

Dr. Alexis Pavlov is a Doctoral-level Board Certified Behavior Analyst and a licensed psychologist at the Marcus Autism Center (MAC) in the Severe Behavior Program. Her clinical work focuses on the assessment and treatment of severe challenging behaviors in children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related developmental disabilities. Specifically, Dr. Pavlov is the lead clinician in the Crisis Admission and Consultation Liaison Programs which provide behavioral health support to children admitted to hospital emergency rooms for challenging behaviors. Within these programs, clinicians work directly with medical providers to design and
implement behavioral interventions to reduce incidences of crises with a focus on antecedent based strategies and de-escalation and crisis management. The programs also focuses on parent training with an emphasis on environmental engineering, crisis prevention, and behavioral management to provide the caregivers tools to mitigate future hospitalizations. Dr. Pavlov also leads an educational series for providers at Children’s surrounding managing challenging behaviors in medical setting for children with autism. Additionally, Dr. Pavlov is the Evaluation Chair for the Internship Training Committee and chairs the annual Autism Treatment Symposium which provides continuing education for BCBAs and shares treatment research to the community.
